Carver is an historic neighborhood located in Richmond, Virginia with homes built in Greek Revival, Italianate and Queen Anne architectural styles dating back to the early 19th century. The area is home to a diverse population of working class families and students attending nearby Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Union University. Although the area has seen some gentrification over the years, it remains a safe neighborhood that offers easy access to all the best parts of Richmond - making it truly a diamond in the rough. Despite occasional encounters with panhandlers like most other neighborhoods within Richmond city limits, Carver stands out as an incredibly secure place to call home.
